How does poor nutrition affect a childs ability to learn?

Hello. My name is Aleksandr Petrovykh and I am a senior in high school. To graduate we need to do a project and write a paper. For the paper we need to do a few interviews. My project is on nutrition so I was wondering if you could answer a few questions that I have. How does poor nutrition affect a Childs ability to learn? Can poor nutrition leave irreplaceable damage? What are the needed nutrients for the mind to grow?
